WYND COTTAGE

This two bedroom coastal holiday cottage in Elie offers a great combination of privacy combined with an ideal location in the heart of the village, just a stone’s throw from the beach, the shops and the Ship Inn. 

Tucked away on a private lane with a sunny, sheltered, south-facing seating area in the front yard, this cottage is unique in the village and is ideal for a family, a couple, and for dogs. 

The cottage is offered on a self-catering basis. Guests can book the sauna for an additional fee. Access to the cottage is via the private lane at the back of Wynd House, which leads to the high street and the sea front, and there is parking for one car in the cobble yard in front of the cottage.

The cottage was originally two cottages and a Blacksmith’s Shop, and they have been converted into one cottage with a large living area. Please note that because of this, guests must walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the living area, so might not be suitable for some parties, and guests do not have access to the Wynd House gardens.

    • Perfect for beach days

      Thank you for having us to stay at your cottage, it was perfect for beach days, relaxing at home and as a base for exploring the east Neuk. Lovely friendly relaxed hosts and the comfiest beds and freshest bed linen and towels. A delightful quirky home with plenty space for my teenage boys and their friends to hang out. We hope to be back next year!

    • Rustic charm

      Wynd Cottage has an old fashioned rustic charm, but with all the amenities you’d need. It was atmospheric, right by the beach and you have access to a lovely garden to use as well. We were particularly taken with the glass tiles in the roof of the main sitting/ kitchen area making what could have been a darker space, flooded with natural light. Elie is a beautiful and peaceful place and we loved our stay there. Thanks to Duncan and Fiona who were really helpful throughout.

    • Fiona is a wonderful host

      Wonderful stay in Fiona’s charming rustic cottage! We loved all the quirky furniture and extras like piano and guitar! The lounge/kitchen is really spacious and comfortable and we loved the wooden beams, fairy lights and beautiful lampshades. Bedroom was light and airy and the private garden was welcomed. All in all a fantastic stay – we will be back!
      PS Fiona is a wonderful host, excellent communication and really friendly and helpful. A credit to Airbnb!
