We require a payment in full to reserve your booking.

Booking

When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive a generated booking summary by email.  This does not form a contract between us.  A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed by us in writing via an email of confirmation.
 
Provisional bookings can be confirmed with full payment as detailed above at which point the booking becomes binding and you will receive a booking summary.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds for cancellations are at the discretion of the owners and will depend on the amount of notice given and whether the room can be rebooked.

What’s Included:

The price for all accommodation includes linen, towels for indoor use, electricity, heating, WiFi, hairdryers. Stay in Wynd House includes breakfast, served in the dining room from 0800- 0930am. Wynd House guests have access to safe, enclosed gardens. The cottage has kitchen facilities, (but no dishwasher) and cleaning products, and access to enclosed yard.

Sauna, Swimming and Safety

Wynd House guests can book the Sea Garden Sauna for private use for an extra charge. Access to the beach is via a ladder on the sea wall. At High Tide, the sea comes up to the sea wall and it is possible to swim directly from the bottom of the sea wall. The Sea Garden, the ladder, and the rocks beneath are steep, uneven, and slippery. Guests are advised that the use the Sea Garden and the ladder to the beach is strictly at your own risk.  

Dog Friendly

Please be advised that we have a family dog, Zack, a border collie, who lives in Wynd House and may bark to alert /welcome you, but otherwise he is very friendly. Sadly, for this reason, we cannot cater to those who allergic or nervous of dogs. We know dogs are part of the family, so we welcome dogs to stay in Wynd Cottage, but not in Wynd House B&B rooms.  We accept up to two well behaved dogs in Wynd Cottage for a small charge.  They must not be left in the property unattended or be allowed on any furniture and beds. All dog waste is to be bagged and binned.

Vehicles

Wynd House is located in the middle of Elie village, right next to the bus stop: it is possible to arrive by public transport. Most people drive to Elie, and there is free on-street parking on Rankeillor Street or on the High Street. There is an EV charger for guest use by prior arrangement, situated in the yard beside the cottage. There is limited off street parking on the private lane for cottage guests, with access directly to the cottage yard. The lane is a tight fit, so guests park there at their own risk. Bikes can be hired from Elie Watersports, and there are bike racks in the garden.

Insurance

We strongly advise that you take out suitable holiday or cancellation insurance to cover eventualities. We cannot accept liability for any accidents, injuries, illness, loss or damage suffered to persons or animals either in the property or in any of the gardens or the sea. 

Damages and Breakages

Please do NOT put any wet wipes or sanitary products down the toilet; our drains, and our ocean simply can’t cope. Use the bins provided. You are fully responsible for any damage or breakage you or any one of your party causes to the property, contents or grounds. You must report any such damage at the earliest convenience to enable repair or replacement to be arranged. In the event of damage, we will charge the value of the item or repair work. We expect the property to be left as it is found. 

Complaints

Should you have any concerns during your stay please get in touch as soon as possible. The Wood family live on site and are available to deal with any issues directly.

Smoking

In the interests of safety and comfort of future guests there is strictly no smoking inside the properties.
